I played the game which is called TOUSENKYOU. I had known the name, because I studied it at school. But I didn’t expect that it had happened to me. It was specific experience to feel our history!! It felt like I was back to edo era.
We can get deferent points depends on how it falls. I played several times, but I couldn’t get the highest one. It looks impossible…..please tell me if someone can do it. I respect you!! Are you interested in it? it must be fun!

"TO-U-SE-N-KYO-U"One of the games since Edo-era.After perching the target like a leaf of ginkgo-nuts called "Chou" (means butterfly) on the wooden box called "Makura" (means pillow), the player sits on the knee at a distance of about 1 meter, and tosses an opened fan (called "Ougi") to the target. Then the judge (called "Gyouji") determines the name and score for the situation among the fan, the target, and the box, simulated Murasaki-Shikibu's "the Tale of GENJI".It is related that this game started in 1773

Travel to ....

The departure time of the bus to get back home was approaching… what shall we do?? I said, I wanna see Fuji Mountain!! Ok! Friend took me to lakes. Fuji Mountain is surrounded by 5 lakes. Each lake has some features and we can see deferent beautiful view from every lake. We visited 3 lakes. My impression of Mt. Fuji is covered with snow. But on summer, there is no snow on the top of the mountain. Looks different…..but it was also beautiful.
This was great trip for me. Even if it is domestic travel, I confirmed I love traveling!!!
Where shall I go next time…….

Travel to ....

After that as we hung out with my friend, we suddenly heard sound!! As we looked up the sky…..see!! Fireworks!! Fortunately, we had summer festival that day. Actually this was first time I saw fireworks as I was relax this year. I thought I really looked forward to seeing fireworks every time as I was child. I can’t remember since when I hadn’t into it. We looked up the sky for a while. It made me feel like I was child.
After that, I visited my friend’s house. I was going to stay her house this night. Her family is totally friendly and funny. We had a good BBQ party.
Next day, we went to watch practice of the pro soccer player. After that we visited Kyuh-mitsuke gakkou. This is a school which was built in 8 of Meiji period. They say that this is the oldest European style school in Japan. Kimono shop assistant in me, these things are interesting…

Travel to ....

From 14th, I had 4days holiday. I had been looking forward to it!! Because I had decided to visit my friend to Shizuoka prefecture!! Even if it’s not too far from home, it made me excited! Love! Traveling! In the really morning, I got up at 4oclock. It was still dark outside. Mmm….sleeeepy…… I looked up the sky as I was at the station. It was beautiful sun rise!! That woke me up!
It took 2 hours from home to Tokyo station, then I transferred to bus. We supposed to arrive Shizuoka at 11. But unfortunately we got a traffic jammmmmm!! Traveling with bus reminded me good old days in Australia. I used to travel with bus a lot. I spent 27 hours in the bus once. That was unusual experience in my life. Any way, I barely arrived in Iwata. Oops 1 hours late…sorry my friend! She picked me up then they took me to the green tea farm. Shizuoka prefecture is famous for green tea. Beautiful green tea farms were everywhere!! I tried to bite it. it didn’t taste green tea…..not yummy…
……then we’d visited Kanzanji. We took ropeway to the mountain. We could see beautiful lake which is called Hamanako. It is one of famous spectacular in Shizuoka. If it was much fine and clear day, we could have seen Fuji Mountain. Pity…
Next, we’d been to Bentenjima and Nakatajima-sakyu. Nakatajima-sakyu(sand dune)
Is among three bigger dune in Japan. And I didn’t know that it is the place which torte lays eggs!!!! I wish I could watch it!! Behind the dune, we can see dynamic pacific!! Amazing!
